Privacy policy
This privacy policy informs you which personal data we process when you use the website generator, order a website or contact us. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

What data we process
The information you enter in the questionnaire (e.g. business name, address, contact details, texts), uploaded images and logos, your billing details if you place an order, your e-mail address if you have a customer account, and technical data when you visit the website (server log files).
What we use the data for
To create, display, store and – if you order it – publish your website online, to process orders and payments, to send you links and invoices by e-mail and to answer enquiries. We do not sell data and do not use it for third-party advertising.
Your website data
The content of your website is intended for publication. As soon as the website is online, this information is publicly visible. You are responsible for ensuring that you are permitted to use information and images of other persons (e.g. team photos).
References
We only show your website on our “References” page if you expressly allow it – with company name, industry, location, a preview and a link. You can withdraw your permission at any time on your website's page or in your account; the website then disappears from the references immediately.
Messages and chat
When you write to us via the chat or the contact form, we store your name, your e-mail address, your messages and any attachments in order to answer your enquiry. We also send our replies to you by e-mail. We delete the messages when they are no longer needed for answering you and for the business relationship; immediately on request.
E-mails
We send you e-mails about your website and order (e.g. edit link, invoice, reminder). You can unsubscribe from reminders at any time via the link in the e-mail.
Online payment
For payments by card, TWINT and similar methods, we use the payment service Stripe. You enter your payment details directly with Stripe; we do not receive them. Stripe’s privacy policy applies. Stripe may also process data outside Switzerland.
Hosting and server log files
When the website is accessed, our hosting provider stores technically necessary information such as IP address, date, time and the page accessed. This data serves secure operation and is deleted after a short time.
Cookies and local storage
We use only technically necessary cookies: a session cookie (for forms, the customer account and protection against misuse) and a cookie for the selected language. Your draft in progress is stored only in your browser (local storage). We do not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies.
Visitor statistics
We count visits to this website ourselves to improve our service – without Google Analytics and without cookies. We do not store IP addresses or any data that could identify you personally: only daily totals are counted (e.g. number of visitors, pages viewed, language, device type, referring page and approximate region). The region (country, canton, town) is derived from the IP address during the visit on our own server, using the DB-IP.com database, without passing any data to third parties; only the counter is stored, not the IP address. To count repeated visits on the same day only once, an anonymous value is created that changes daily and is deleted after two days at the latest.
How long we keep data
For as long as necessary for the purpose: we delete websites without an order after some time; we keep order and invoice data for as long as required by law (usually 10 years).
Disclosure
We disclose data only to service providers we need for operation (hosting, e-mail delivery, payment), and only to the extent necessary – or if we are legally obliged to do so.
Your rights
You can request information about your data at any time and request its correction or deletion. To do so, write to us at the address given above.
